Caregivers
HOME Caregivers is a pilot program that lasts for 5 years and is divided Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot according to different service target.
Suitable for:
• Caregiver for newborns/maternal/elderly/disabled persons
• Hospital nurses and nursing staff
• Nursing staff in nursing homes
• Day care centres teachers, early childhood educators and related staff, etc.
International applicants can first obtain a work permit to work in Canada, and apply for permanent resident status after meeting the conditions.
Work permit application conditions:
• Have an eligible job offer from a qualified employer;
• Language CLB 5 or above;
• College graduated or above;
• At least 1 year of full-time nursing experience in recent past 3 years prior to application
• At least 6 months of nursing training education (full-time required)
Permanent resident application requirements:
• Language CLB 5 or above;
• Accumulate more than 2 years of full-time work experience within 3 years after obtaining a work permit and arriving in Canada
• Must prove the ability to perform the job (recognized relevant training or work experience)
Advantage:
• The spouse can apply for an open work visa to work in Canada
• Children can get an accompanying study permit to enjoy free education
• Can change employers, but cannot change the job nature
• No need to apply for LMIA
